| An 8 Lettered Word for 2008! |  |

 | | Posted by: Leanne | 1/1/2008 10:07 PM | I was going to try and make one of those cute acrostics--you know--where you take a word and each letter is used as the first letter in a word. I wanted to think of 8 things we could all strive for in this new year. So I Googled "8 letter words" and here are some I found: bankrupt (no good!), bankcard (overused--at least mine is!), backstab (sad!), and cowgirls (fun, but not what I was looking for).
And then...a word jumped off the page that needs no acrostic and I truly believe it is the eight letter word we all need to make our 2008 mantra--the word is "Balance."
I hope 2008 is a year where this eight letterer becomes your friend--and mine!!
I hope you enjoy good food--but not too much--I hope you find balance.
I hope you loose the weight you have vowed to loose but that you don't starve yourself too hard--balance!
I hope you set limits with your kids--but not too strict--balance!
I hope you spend time with your family but also with your friends--balance!
I hope you have a great career and also feel great about your hobbies, family, and spend time with yourself--balance!
My prayer for each of you this 2008 is that you find balance. If anything causes us distress and pain it is when our lives get out of balance. Say no when you need, say yes when you want, work hard and relax lots as well--and have a beautiful balanced year!!!
