| Loving an Ultrasound |  |

 | | Posted by: Leanne | 1/8/2007 7:40 PM | My niece and I are as close as two people can be. She is pregnant and due in May. Today she had an ultrasound and discovered that the baby is a boy. Thanks to the blessing of the Internet, I am sitting here looking at pictures of her baby. They are blurry and I have to look closely to figure out which end is the head and which end is the feet. While I am staring at these these blurry images my heart is filled with love! No, even more than filled with love--my heart is overflowing with love. I have fallen in love with these tiny pictures of this little miracle growing so sweetly in his mother's womb.
I love this little being. He doesn't even know that I exist. He has no idea that he has a Granny Leanne. He has no conception of what I look like or who I am and yet I love him deeply and will love him forever!
I suppose that is how God feels about us--whether we know God or not, before we ever utter a prayer, we are deeply loved. So whether you consider yourself a person of faith, I hope you know how deeply loved you are.
This baby will make mistakes. He will not be prefect. And yet, even now, while all I have seen of him is the ultrasound pictures, I know that no matter who he becomes, what he does right or wrong--I will love him--forever!
No matter who you are, or what you have done right or wrong--you are loved!!! My prayer is that you can feel the love of God holding you close today and always! | | | Permalink | Trackback |
